FRAME Fostering Human Rights Among European Policies
FRAME is a large-scale, collaborative research project funded under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) coordinated by the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies and conducted by 19 research institutes from around the world. Our research focuses on the contribution of the EU’s internal and external policies to the promotion of human rights worldwide.
The EU is uniquely placed to protect and promote human rights, democracy and the rule of law in relation to both its own 500 million citizens and citizens around the globe.
The FRAME consortium consists of 19 leading European and international institutions from 17 countries, and it comprises more than 100 researchers.
The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies is coordinating a a FP7-funded project on the European Union's rights policies.
Providing the necessary building blocks for the development of a comprehensive and coherent EU human rights policy.
FRAME is supported by a Scientific Advisory Board composed by internationally renowned external experts.
