Admission Requirements

Target: The course is devoted to those applicants with no experience in election observation or to those observers who have participated to a maximum of two missions as short term observers.

Eligibility: Lectures are conceived for an audience of graduates mainly in Law, Political Sciences, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology or similar who want to address international election observation from a multi-disciplinary approach that will be useful in further engagements on the field.

Training language: all courses will be held in English. It is, therefore, essential that all participants understand and speak English fluently.

EIUC will review applications on an on-going basis. EIUC aims to give participants as much time as possible for the organisation of visa, travelling and accommodation (see also: Practical Information).

Applicant Requiring Visas

Non-EU applicants require a Visa to access Italy
Students requiring Visas usually need to produce an official letter of invitation from the course to the Visa Office. As these are only issued upon receipt of full payment, we encourage non-EU applicants to apply to the IEO training at least 3 months prior the beginning of the training with full payment. Following notification of admission, we will provide you with an invitation letter confirming that you are offered a place in the programme and the fees are paid.

Visa application process can take several months, therefore we strongly recommend applicants to apply as soon as you receive the invitation letter from the IEO secretariat in order to appeal any refusals.

Please visit this website for more information about visa requirements http://www.esteri.it/visti/index_eng.asp

All participants attending the training will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the course.

Please note that participation to the training seminar does not guarantee direct access to any recruiting procedure undertaken by international, national or regional entity.
