The Master in Democratic Governance is a unique programme designed to meet the needs of students, professionals and experts who want to specialise in the field of democratic governance and human rights with a focus on the Arab world, but also gain the practical experience needed to build or improve their career/research activities.

EIUC organises the third edition of the Master in Democratic Governance - Democracy and Human Rights in partnership with the following universities: Birzeit University (Palestine), Saint Joseph University (Lebanon), International University of Rabat (Morocco), University of Carthage (Tunisia), Ca’ Foscari University (Italy) and a growing network of other partner Universities in the MENA Region.

The Master in Democratic Governance has an impressive range of high level academics and experts from a variety of institutions and universities. Barbara De Poli, Professor of Contemporary History of Islamic Countries at Ca' Foscari University and Scientific Coordinator of the Center for Contemporary Middle East Studies (CEM), is the Programme Director.

Partners

The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) launches the third edition of the Master in Democratic Governance - Democracy and Human Rights in the MENA Region, thanks to the support of the European Union and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

Programme

1st semester: from mid/late September 2016 until January 2017 in Venice-Lido, Italy
2nd semester: from February to May 2017 in one of the partner universities

Admissions 

This Master is open to students, professionals and experts. Applications will be processed on an on-going basis. The sooner you send your application the more chances you will have to be accepted.

 

Fees

Tuition fees amount to 4.000 Euro. EIUC offers financial support in the form of a partial contribution towards living expenses and/or a full or partial tuition waiver.
