The Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights is a unique programme designed to meet the needs of students, professionals and experts who want to specialise in the field of democratic governance and human rights with a focus on the Arab world, but also gain the practical experience needed to build or improve their career/research activities.

The Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights is supported by a growing network of partner universities. Coordinated by Saint Joseph University (Lebanon), the partnership is composed of: Birzeit University (Palestine), International University of Rabat (Morocco), and University of Carthage (Tunisia).

The Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights has an impressive range of high level academics and experts from a variety of institutions and universities. Carole Rizkallah Alsharabati, Director of the Political Science Institute at Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth, is the Programme Director.

Partners

The Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights was created thanks to the support of international partners including the European Union (through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights) and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

Programme

1st semester: from September 2017 until January 2018 at Saint Joseph University, Beirut
2nd semester: from February to May 2018 in one of the partner universities

Admissions 

This Master is open to students, professionals and experts. Applications will be processed on an on-going basis. The sooner you send your application the more chances you will have to be accepted.

 

Fees

Tuition fees amount to 4.000 EUR. ARMA offers financial support in the form of a partial contribution towards living expenses and/or a full or partial tuition waiver.
