The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) is an interdisciplinary centre of excellence on human rights education and training and the focal point of the Global Campus network of seven Regional Master’s programmes in Human Rights and Democratisation, funded by the EU. The Global Campus seeks to advance human rights and democracy through regional and global cooperation for education and research.

Venues

Thanks to the hospitality of the City of Venice, EIUC’s venue is the Monastery of San Nicolò founded in the 11th century and transformed into a Renaissance cloister in the 16th century. A place of inspiration for human rights students, scholars, activists … and for James Bond fans

The venues of the Regional Master’s programmes of the GC are the University of Sarajevo for South East Europe programme, Yerevan State University for the Caucasus programme, University of Pretoria for the African programme, Mahidol University in Bangkok for the Asia-Pacific programme, San Martin University/CIEP in Buenos Aires for Latin American and the Caribbean programme, and the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut for the Arab World.
